Taxonic is an expert in the field of Linked Data, Simple Knowledge Organization System (SKOS), Dynamic Case Management (DCM), big data and the semantic web. Knowledge is our basis both when it comes to technological solutions and implementations as well as in sharing knowledge and enriching our own. Therefore, we are actively involved in Linked Data Platform Netherlands, we publish white papers and we’ll keep you informed on the latest news in our field. This defines the power of open source management: rapid innovation made possible by doing research and encouraging interaction.
On Tuesday, April 18, 2017, Platform Linked Data Nederland and Kadaster organise a symposium on…
SKOS, Simple Knowledge Organization System builds upon Linked Data standards. SKOS makes knowledge systems, such as thesauri, taxonomies, concepts dictionaries, classification diagrams and systems for keyword assignment, generically. Many of these systems already seem very much alike, but cannot automatically be used for data analysis because of several differences. SKOS-based vocabularies are ‘machine-readable’ which stimulates linking and sharing knowledge.
Taxonic actively supports the use of SKOS to bring interoperability within government organisations to a higher level. We have therefore signed the Suppliers Manifest. This means that we use a list of mandatory standards, public and accessible best practices and deployment profiles and also join the Generic Digital Infrastructure of the National Consultation.
